Technology guide for your business idea
I am a versatile problem-solver, builder, and manager with an unstoppable attitude inspired by the legendary MacGyver. My practical approach and Swiss Army knife are always at the ready to tackle any challenge.
With years of experience, I have specialized in providing technical guidance to startups, entrepreneurs, and creators. My expertise lies in refining your business idea, building it from the ground up, and creating a monetizable product. I am an engineer and manager with a touch of scientist, philosopher, and cook. I am a jack of all trades and a master of integration.
My passion lies in the intersection of technology and innovation. I am a machine learning evangelist and a strong-AI believer. I specialize in Linux, Python, IoT, and embedded systems. I excel in both on-premise and fully native cloud solutions.
If you want to use AI/ML or IoT in your business,
I will help you forge your ideas into valuable product
A sample from my portfolio:
Mellow
Head of Engineering, Berlin
Mellow, is a mobile app that detects seizures in people with epilepsy using wearable technologies and machine learning. As the Head of Engineering, my contributions included leading a team of developers and engineers, designing and implementing the system architecture, training machine learning models for seizure detection, integrating subsystems, and assessing the quality of the medical application. The technology used includes iOS, Swift, Python, TensorFlow, AWS, and more.
Arahub
Chief Technology Officer, Cracow
The ARA project is an innovative system for collecting and analyzing data from the environment, using a proprietary machine vision device. The device collects information about people moving nearby, including movement direction, interests analysis, and demographic profile, and AI/ML algorithms interpret the data to uniquely identify the profiles of people.
As the CTO I provided principal technical contributions, advisory, and consulting to the startup, defined the strategy and technological goals, led a team of data scientists and engineers to build an MVP showcasing the possibility of using machine learning for outdoor audience analysis
SteamCat
Founder, Warsaw
The goal of SteamCat is to create unique, upcycled, and sustainable smart furniture that could become a core element of a smart home that follows the principles of calm technology. It includes custom electronics and software, 3D printed elements combined with natural materials and vintage parts, all integrated with smart home solutions.
I have gone through the entire process of product creation, from idea to design, via multiple prototypes, refining and stripping it down, finding a niche, building a brand, marketing it, finding customers, and preparing crowdfunding financing.
What can I do for you?
-
Do you have a great business idea, but you are not sure how difficult it is on the technical side? Would you like to know how many resources it requires? Would you like to create a development plan for a Proof of Concept or Minimum Viable Product? Or maybe you have a very clear vision of your product but need to decompose it into achievable steps?
I can help you create a technical roadmap, decompose your idea into smaller pieces, modules, problems, and challenges. I can show you which parts are difficult, innovative, where you need to focus your resources, and how much work is required to achieve your goals.
But building a technological innovation is tough - I will challenge your idea, ask difficult questions, and show you what is realistic - all of that to create a great product together!
-
If you already have a plan and know where to start - that's great! Now we can get to some serious work! In the past, I have built many projects from scratch - sometimes even with companies not yet having any kind of technical infrastructure, services, guidelines, or processes - and I can help set those up as well. I will help you select the technology stack, choose the right providers (or set up on-premise infrastructure), advise you on project management methodology, and help you maintain the know-how we build.
We will work together to create a realistic roadmap for a PoC or MVP, set milestones and deadlines, and estimate the resources required. Ideally, you want to have a clear path towards a minimal product that is already monetizable or could be a great showcase for investors.
Then I will start working on the actual implementation, building the team as we go. During the process, we will stay in close collaboration to keep you informed about progress, challenges, and obstacles.
Be prepared to stay open-minded - great products are built by navigating problems (which will always be there) rather than crashing into them. Sometimes the most significant end result can be surprising!
-
Most ideas start small, but at some point, you will need more great people to join your vision. I will help you build the team by specifying the required competencies, managing the recruitment process, screening and interviewing candidates, and selecting the best of them. I can work with a team that is built fully in-house, as well as manage freelancers and contractors - whatever best fits the stage of product development and financing capabilities.
But leading a team is not only about finding people and keeping them busy - it is mainly about making coworkers feel looked after, having a goal, being satisfied with the input they provide, giving them feedback, mentoring, and helping them grow. In the past, I have supervised small teams, larger teams, multiple groups of engineers and data scientists, and on top of that, I have many years of experience teaching and tutoring students. Feel free to ask any of them if they liked it!
-
First of all, I am an engineer. This aspect has always been primary in my career, and I have never given up my hands-on attitude, hacker kind of mindset, and willingness to solve problems. I am always ready to roll up my sleeves and jump into action, whether it is designing, coding, soldering, or woodworking.
Draw, make, test, fail, repeat - this is my solution for success, and it could be yours as well!
